Synthesis of graphene foams and their sorption properties of n-hexane

Abstract The influence of preparation conditions the graphene foams on their physicochemical properties is shown. Different aerogels were obtained from various oxide water suspensions using hydrothermal method (with or without addition acrylic microemulsion and varying in drying time—24 48 h). Prolonged hydrogels resulted smaller pores foams. composition (GO) polymer leads to smallest surface area which due closing composite structure. Thermal treatment samples at 950 °C removed residues. heating process increased total pore volume all samples, used test (GFs) for adsorption n-hexane. These tests have shown that most effective n-hexane where GO resin used. best adsorbed 415 mg g −1 a better result than activated carbon manufactured natural cork. Further modification could significant increase sorption be contaminated air purification nearest future.
